So we just got back to working on the production of our short "DEEP CLEAN" from a nice long break, and the team came to the decision that we need to focus on making progress on a full 3d animatic. So I took a step back from doing any VFX related work and tackled some textures for vegetation, specifically coral, seaweed, and small ocean vent that we have dubbed "bubblers". The textures were easy to work out for the most part as the vegetation would be, more or less, background elements. we also made it so that the coral and bubblers in particular would have two differing textures for when the water would be polluted versus unpolluted.




I also sought advice from Paul in regards to adding movement to the seaweed from Paul Conner, and he suggested that I employ the usage of speedtree scans.
